The Biking

The riding here is epic, but there’s also plenty of variety to suit every taste, fitness level and technical ability.  The region is famously criss-crossed with hundreds of miles of natural singletrack: sometimes steep and technical, sometimes fast and flowy, always totally breathtaking.  For adventurers and gravity junkies we’ve got high alpine passes, backcountry hike-a-bikes and full-on downhill tracks in the Verbier bike park.  For those who prefer their riding a bit more sedate, we use gentle meadow trails descending from stunning mountaintops through picturesque forests, often with a café stop somewhere along the way.

We know that every group’s different which is why we don’t have fixed itineraries or set rides.  Instead, our holidays are tailor-made to suit you or your group, and that means you’ll get every last drop of enjoyment and value out of your time here.  So whether it’s Enduro, Cross country or DH riding you most want to do – or a mix of all three – we’ll plan your days accordingly.

As well as customising each day, over the years we’ve found that smaller riding groups work best and are what our guests prefer.  So, with up to four of us guiding and a maximum of just 12 guests in the chalet, we’re able to make sure everyone is well looked after.

As one of our long term guests puts it…

“Every aspect of these holidays is totally sorted: the food’s great, the chalet’s lovely and the guides are really experienced and friendly. The whole operation runs like clockwork too, and that means you get as much riding time as possible, on the type of trails that suit you. As for that riding – wow! I’ve ridden all over BC as well as in Spain and elsewhere, but nowhere has the variety and quality of backcountry singletrack these guys will get you to in the space of just one week.  Over the years I’ve talked to dozens of Bike Verbier guests and pretty much  every one of them says its the best biking holiday they’ve had, in the best  destination they’ve been to. Same goes for me.”

This September the Swiss Epic stage race will again start from Verbier as well as the bike park also hosting a round of the IXS DH Cup.

Just 90 minutes from Geneva, the Verbier region doesn’t get the attention of certain Alpine resorts we could mention – and that suits us fine. Although this stunning location boasts some of the world’s finest scenery and most breathtaking riding, nine times out of ten you’ll have the trails all to yourself.
